I am David, I cruised on my 35 gaff rigged cutter from Florida to French Polynesia, from 2009 til 2016, with my liveaboard family crew.

We needed to prepare a long journey, to get as ready as possible for any stormy conditions, anchoring safely; we reviewed the gear, tested our new boat around the Florida Coast, and we just talked about sailing the South…

We did it, as a family, over more than 10 000 nautical miles, as we checked in, from Florida, to The Fantastic Bahamas, Lovely Cuba, The Gracious Cayman Islands, The Dream Islands of Honduras, Wild and Sweet Guatemala, Smiling Colombia, The Dreaded Panama Canal, Amazing Ecuador and the Pearl of the South, French Polynesia (after a long Pacific passage of 30 days at sea). We kept it simple, on a small budget, we took our time, and it worked out for us. We’ve had the best time of our lives.
